Tafo Residents Grips With Fear Over Robbery Cases

Residents of Old Tafo, a suburb of Kumasi Metropolis in the Ashanti Region are in great fear due to the overwhelmingly recorded robbery cases recently.

These robbery cases has been attributed to an abandoned bushy land believe to be own by Tafo Roman Catholic church.

According to the residents, the said bushy land is a hub of robbers which they flee into after snatching their items.

All effort have been applied to end such a menace by clearing off the bushy land which house the perpetrators but the Church Authorities and the Assembly have turn a death ear, they disclosed;

They said, the fear to be attacked by robbers sometimes prevents them to attend to their important assignments at night.

According to them, the only way to curb the situation is to clear that land and use it for something purposeful for the development of Tafo community specifically those around Tafo catholic church.
